Affordable Clothing Haul

Sunday 17 May 2015

Yes you read the title right, this is my first fashion haul! I have been going through a couple of changes in my life right now, and thought it was time for some new clothes. But, I am also in the process of losing weight/getting fit, so didn't want to buy anything too pricey, that might not fit in a few months.

First up is this gorgeous pink chunky knit from Kmart. It was a bargain at $30! I love this one because it is slightly cropped at the front, so I like wearing it with a white shirt with the collar peaking through to top and the shirt through bottom.

I have been on the hunt for the perfect black vest, that isn't too puffy, because I think that makes my body shape a bit boxy. I found this one from Temt for $40, and it is amazing because its quite thin, so not really great for warmth, but is nice for layering.

This is the white shirt I bought to go underneath the pink jumper. I got it a bit bigger than normal too make sure it had some good length coming through the bottom of the jumper. This was around $15 from Kmart, and I think its pretty unique because the bottom section of the shirt was replaced with a sheer, chiffon type material, which I love.

I loved this top so much I got it in two colours. It is a light tank from Kmart, it has a semi deep V-neck and this gorgeous fringing a long the bottom. I believe it was around $15, and again is great for layering coming into winter here in Australia!

As soon as I saw this in Valley Girl I fell in love. It looks like a normal red and navy flannel, but it has this really cool grey hood with drawstrings! It was $40 and would look great with black jeans and a white tee.

I am a huge kimono fan, like huge. I own so many, and wear them with pretty much everything. I saw these two in Kmart (yes I do live in Kmart, why do you ask?) and knew I had to get them. Plus they were only $15 each!

I have wanted a denim shirt forever, and I have finally found one I like! This is from Big W, and was around the $30 mark. I don't actually wear it buttoned up, I wear it open over a white tee, and I love how that looks.

I have been on the hunt for a good pair of opaque black leggings, and unfortunately these aren't it. I got these both from Kmart for $8 each, and they do go see through on the bum when I am wearing them, but for around the house, or with a long top, they are okay. If you know of any good quality, opaque black leggings please leave me a comment below!

These pretty little things were on sale for $5 at a Rubi Shoes outlet (bargain!) because they had that white mark on the heel, which doesn't bother me in the slightest. I have literally been wearing them every day I have gone out the house for the past 2 weeks, so much so that today when I went to put my vans on, it felt weird to walk in flat shoes......I know.

This guy right here is like my second skin. It is a white rounded V neck tee in a medium, I get them from Dotti, and they are usually 2 for $30. I think I have around 5 or 6 of these (I used to have 10 but hey, that will teach me for mixing colours and whites in the washing machine). I can honestly say I wear this white tee about 5-6 days out of the week. I wear them with everything, I even use an old one with a nail polish stain for pjs, because I love it so much and couldn't bear to throw it out. It's slightly fitted but still loose enough to not make me feel self conscious about my stomach area. Seriously, if you are in the market for a staple white tee, head to Dotti now!

My current black jeans are way to big on me now, so I saw these two for $15 each (can you guess which store?) in Kmart so I grabbed both. The bottom are a basic black, and the top is a faded black denim, which I actually prefer to the plain black. They are a great staple wardrobe piece (a long with the white tee!) and go with pretty much everything.

I saved the best until last. You guessed it, a camel coat from Kmart. This beautiful item was only $30!!! It reminds me of the 'Paddington Bear' style coat, with the big pockets and toggles. I am so in love, and want to wear it all the time. It was hard to get the whole jacket in the picture, but I will be sure to post some photos of me wearing it soon.
