June Favourites

Saturday 4 July 2015

Up until now I have only be photographing my monthly favourites on Instagram, but to make my blog more user friendly and active I have decided to move it over here! I can't believe it is July already, it feels like a few weeks ago that I had gotten back from my holiday in January!

For brows, I have been loving the Hourglass Brow Archery Pencil. This baby cost me a small fortune for what it is ($44 from Mecca), but it really is great. It is a thicker 'nib' than what I was used to so it took a little while to get used too but it is a really nice formula, a tiny bit waxy but still smooth. Because the pencil is thicker it is harder to get a very precise brow if you are in to that, but I do prefer a more natural brow so that doesn't bother me.

My lovely partner bought me Stila's 'Kitten' shadow and it really does live up to the hype! It is a great every day shade, I use it on the lid and a warm brown in the crease, and then I'm good to go. It is a very soft and creamy formula so I can see why a lot of people's shadows break on them, so I am being extra careful with the shadow. I just checked online and it is surprisingly cheaper than I thought it was going to be, considering it is by Stila, a great quality, semi high end brand! ($26 from Mecca).

I've had a strange obsession with Peter Alexander these past few months. I don't know why but I can't seem to stop buying pyjamas! Most recently they released a Frozen collection, and for those who don't know I am a little crazy about Frozen, so you know I had to get these cute flanette pjs with grey leg warmers at the bottom. They were a pretty penny at $69.95 but well worth it.

The Maybelline Fit Me: Dewy and Smooth, is an amazing light and luminous foundation. I already like the original Fit Me, but I always found 120 a little bit heavy and also a tad too dark. Luckily they came out with 115 in Dewy and Smooth (and even 110 in the Matte and Poreless version which is perfect for me) and it is great! It it so glowy and really does look like skin. I got mine from Priceline for $18.95, I couldn't find a link online for some reason?

The Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer has been my go to this month. I unfortunately think I have a shade too light for me, which is annoying because this is one expensive concealer! ($36 at Mecca). But it is nice so I may go and buy the next shade up! It has a doe foot applicator and is so soft, it almost feels a little bit cooling which is great under your eyes in the mornings. It is a medium coverage but does crease and set quickly, just like the foundation, so I have to set it quickly with a powder, but apart from that I can't think of any other negatives!

Online shopping has been another big thing for me this month, I just can't help myself okay! I have spent way too much this month, I feel like I need some sort of spending ban, but I also don't want to stop buying things. You guys, I think I have an addiction?! Should we hold a weekly Shopping Anonymous group to discuss our latest purchases and upcoming sales, or would that do more harm than good?

That's it for this month, hope everyone has a wonderful July!
