Mecca Haul

Friday 4 September 2015

I tripped and fell into Mecca and spent too much money
Someone stole my card, spent all the money at Mecca and then gave me the makeup
I was celebrating a lovely Thursday

Okay I have no excuse. I spent too much money at Mecca Maxima, it happens to the best of us, we just need to live with our decisions and move on. The only reason I originally went in was because it was their Born this Way Day and I wanted the cute little deluxe sample sized Melted Liquid Lipstick from Too Faced. I had about a 20 minute wait before I could get colour matched to the Born this Way foundation so I just wandered around the store and that's when it went down hill.
Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Porcelain - $55

I was matched to Porcelain, the lightest shade (surprise surprise). The packaging is gorgeous, first off, and I definitely see why people are alikening it to that Georgio Armani one!

Then here is the little baby Melted Liquid Lipstick I got free with purchase. It is in the shade Peony and is gorgeous!

Too Faced Love Flush Blushes in Baby Love (left) and Love Hangover (right) - $34 each

I picked another one of the Too Faced Love Flush blushes as I adored the first one I had bought from Kit Cosmetics a few days prior. Honestly I might end up buying all the shades, apart from having the cutest packaging ever they are a really nice formula and look so natural on the cheeks which is what I look for in a blush.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water - $44

Now this is something I have been eyeing off for a while. I couldn't decide if it would actually prime my face or if it was just fancy water. I don't usually find primers help much with the longevity of my foundation, I more use them to hydrate my skin. I've only used this once so far, so I will definitely be trialling it more often. However on first use, I am worried about how much product I am using and how quick this bottle will run out?

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray Travel Sized - $20

I've always been wanting to try this for a while since Urban Decay launched at Mecca Maxima, but they never had the mini size in stock and I didn't really want to spend nearly $50 on a huge bottle if it didn't agree with my skin. So as soon as I saw this in stock I jumped on the chance to try it out. Again, I've only used this once, but so far so good!

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask Travel Sized - $20

Clearly there is a running theme to this haul. The minis just get to me okay, I can't help it. I love how cute they are and with my holiday coming up at the end of the year I am always looking for travel friendly products. This Clinique mask, I thought would be good for when I am on the plane as it rubs in like a moisturiser and re-hydrates my skin, as flying sucks all the moisture out my skin!

Korres Santorini Showergel Travel Sized - $10

What's this? Another mini-something I didn't need? If you guessed that you are correct! I have never tried anything from the Korres range before, but one whiff of this and it went straight into my basket. Being honest, I only picked it up because I saw the word Santorini (for those who don't know that is number 1 on the list of places I want to travel) but I figured it would be good to take on my holiday as well.

Hourglass Dim Light Travel Sized - $33

Okay this is the last mini item I swear! I am actually thinking about returning this though to be honest. It was on the counter as I was paying and quickly added it into my basket. But this thing is seriously tiny, like really small. Considering it is half the price of the full sized product you think it would also be half the size, but its not. I may return it and just buy the full sized. I have heard lots of good things about this product though.
